Egaoan Izakaya and Yakiniku

One of our family’s fave Japanese restos. Price is cheap compared to other resto but quality is up there. Even the cheapest yakiniku is great. Taste delicious. Service is also great and helpful. People should know more of this resto.

Ordered gyoza, chicken wings, salmon teriyaki, hamburg, karage, and yakisoba. Everything is delicious! Going to be one of our go to Japanese place.

First time here.. definitely will comeback :) We love the hamburg and sukiyaki set. Slice beef feel fresh and well cooked. The hamburg souce was special. We also order Chicken Namban (7/10) &Croquet ( 7/10 ). The service was so nice, they also give appetizers and condiments. Yeayy!

Worth the price, will definetly come back. I reccomend taking the set menu for additional 15k which include rice, ocha, salad, and desert

My family favorite when we are looking for Japanese food. Simply comforting. Entah sudah berapa kali kesini.. Already tried lots of their menus, most of them are delicious. Our fav menu yg udah PASTI DIPESAN kalau kesini: HAMBURG SET juicy, tender, flavorful and the sauce is bomb. Belum nemu hamburg sauce seenak disini. Comes with simple salad, miso soup, veggies, rice. MAPO TOFU Never goes wrong. Tip: pesen spicy level 5. SALMON TERIYAKI Fresh, delicate, even their teriyaki sauce is vvv nice! Gak dominan manis kaya di tempat lain. YAKITORI SELECTION Ga banyak macem, tp semua on point. Jangan kaget harganya murah bgt sampe bingung OKONOMIYAKI Yg ga pernah skip kalau ksini. wajibbb pesen!! CHICKEN NANBAN Biasa ga gt suka nanban, tapi Egaoan's bikin nagih. Gak overglazed with sauce. Menu lainnya also vv good! Potato salad, Cold soba, nabe, beef yakiniku, ga ada yg ga enak.. also their gyoza kulit tipissss, crispy butt, juicy fillings. A bit gingery just like I had in Japan. Egaoan can be a bit of a hit or miss for the Indonesian palate, but for Japanese taste, it’s definitely a hit. I’ve visited many high-end Japanese restaurants, and when compared to Egaoan, they can actually feel a bit “lacking” in a good way. Why? Because Egaoan feels like true home cooking. It’s not overly fancy, but it tastes authentic, honest, and grounded. Unlike many expensive Japanese restaurants you find everywhere, there’s a certain warmth here that I believe keeps many Japanese customers coming back again and again. It feels like this is how the food is meant to be served, no more, no less. And honestly, to say it’s not good would almost feel like a crime. You might notice my review has quite a few “buts,” but none of them take away from the overall experience. In fact, they don’t stop me from giving a full 5 stars. This is what real homestyle cooking tastes like. If you’re looking for something genuine, this place is absolutely worth a visit.

Haven’t found any other place in JKT that serves this type of dish. Cold noodles with pounded yam, natto, okra. Sooo perfectly slimy!!! Love it love it love it
